Dr. Alex Shepherd

We’re delighted to welcome Dr. Alexander Shepherd as our newest staff Optometric Physician at Puyallup Vision Source.   He also serves as an associate at the Enumclaw Family Optometry Clinic.  He has been in practice since September of 2015 and is excited to serve both the plateau and Puyallup communities. He is a native of Enumclaw and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Washington. He then went on to achieve his Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry in May of 2015. Dr. Alexander Shepherd is a member of both the American Optometric Association, and Optometric Physicians of Washington. He has held externships at: Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium in Sitka, Alaska; the Naval Medical Center in San Diego; Dzilth-Na-O-Dith-Hle Health Center on the Navajo Reservation, New Mexico. Dr. Alexander Shepherd has traveled extensively worldwide and has participated in mission trips to Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Kenya. He enjoys music, reading, hiking, skiing, and adventure.
